Our Story
I am a qualified social worker with two decades of experience in Children and Family Services, having obtained my professional qualification in 2005. Since then, I have worked consistently within Local Authority settings, where I have managed the complexities of frontline and managerial roles across assessment teams, specialising in child protection, looked after children and family support services.
Throughout my career, I have balanced the challenges and rewards of professional life alongside raising my own three children. Becoming a parent has helped shape my professional insight and broadened my understanding of the nuanced realities faced by families. It has provided me with a lens, allowing me to engage with families in a manner that is both compassionate and grounded in lived experience.
As I look to the next phase of my professional journey, I am passionate about independent work and motivated by a growing awareness that safeguarding is no longer confined to certain pockets of society. In an increasingly complex world where children are being burdened with expectations and exposures that render them vulnerable in unprecedented ways, I am passionate about supporting systems, professionals and families to navigate the challenges with integrity, insight and accountability.
The Children's Safeguarding Consultancy draws upon a trusted network of experienced and well qualified professionals to deliver specialist knowledge or skills when required, to ensure our clients receive the most informed and effective support possible.
